For me the tiger represents strength and power, and the macaw represents beauty and stability.This painting is a tribute to beauty and strength. The leaves represent movement.

Tigers are found in amazingly diverse habitats: rain forests, grasslands, savannas and even mangrove swamps. They cautiously stalk their prey from the rear in attempt to get as close as possible to their unsuspecting prey.

Then they attempt to take down their prey with a powerful bite to the neck and/ or throat. Unfortunately, 93% of historical tiger lands have disappeared primarily because of expanding human activity. Saving tiger means saving forests that are vital to the health of the planet.

It is a top predator which is at the apex of the food chain and keeps the population of wild ungulates in check, thereby maintaining the balance between prey herbivores and the vegetation upon which they feed.
